Discover your inner Link

Who is Link?

In the game’s several versions, Link’s character is perhaps one of the most evolved protagonists in the gaming culture. With the help of different Hylurean races depicted in numerous iterations of the game, Link undergoes various difficult challenges and quests while traveling across the kingdom of Hyrule to fight Ganon’s monsters. Which race would you be in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild?

Link is depicted as a child, a teenager, and a young adult of the Hylian race who is tasked to prove his worthiness to wield the mystical Master Sword and Light Arrows and eventually partner with Hyrule royalty, Princess Zelda, in protecting their world from the evil plans of Ganon.

Raised by forest elves, he is a brave and hardworking Hylian boy known for his signature green tunic and a long green Phrygian cap. As the rightful bearer of the Triforce of Courage, Link’s character is consistently evidenced by his humble upbringing. In the different versions of the game, Link is canonically both left-and right-handed making him well-renowned for his fighting skills and swordsmanship.

How to look like Link?

Although not a titular character of the culture-shaping videogame, Link is still a legendary character that has made waves in various Nintendo media ranging from console games, animated series, and comic books.

To recreate Link’s outfit for your own Halloween or cosplay event, you should only need a green tunic and a long green cap to bear the standard attire of the Kokiri forest elves. Be ready to wear your long, pointed ears and complete the full look with a pair of leather dress boots and Link’s signature sword and shield.
