Are you a fan of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure and want to cosplay as one of the JoJos? The best one to start with has to be Jotaro, the protagonist of Stardust Crusaders. His battle against Dio is legendary, not just in the series, but also in all of anime, and cosplaying him will take a good bit of effort. Let’s take a look at what it takes to become Jotaro.
Who is Jotaro?
Jotaro Kujo is the protagonist of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 3: Stardust Crusaders, and he also appears in parts 4 to 6. He’s perhaps the most recognizable JoJo character other than Dio Brando, and he’s the most recurring character in the whole series.
Jotaro is a delinquent who lived a fairly ordinary life until the return of Dio, the Joestar family’s old enemy. Due to this threat and the kidnapping of his mother, Jotaro travels to Egypt to find the vampire and put an end to him once and for all.
He’s able to do this due to his stand, the powerful Star Platinum, as well as the help of his allies, who are also stand users, including his grandfather Joseph Joestar. Their quest pits them against many powerful enemies along the way and eventually leads him to Dio Brando.
A showdown between Dio and the descendant of Jonathan Joestar was inevitable. As the first JoJo with a stand, Jotaro has become not just the most popular JoJo from the series, but also one of the most popular characters in anime and pop culture.
How to Look Like Jotaro
Jotaro’s most distinct physical feature is his height. Standing at 6’5”, Jotaro is a well-built guy, especially for a teenager. His dark hair, strong jaw, bold eyebrows, green eyes, and muscular physique make him quite the heartthrob in high school.
Those physical features were inherited from his lineage, starting from Jonathan Joestar, the first JoJo and his great-great-grandfather; and his grandfather, Joseph Joestar, especially when he was young in Part 2, Battle Tendency.
He carries a fairly aloof demeanor, being a man of few words who expresses himself laconically. Most people may perceive him as callous, but that’s perhaps his greatest strength. His ability to maintain his composure even in high-pressure situations is what makes him stand out.

Stardust Crusaders Outfit
Jotaro wears a modified gakuran (Japanese school uniform) that’s as long as a trench coat and has a stiff collar, as well as outfitted with a golden chain on the left, which is over a fitted sleeveless shirt.
On his lower body, he wears a pair of slim-fitting pants with short, sharp flares held up by two thin belts of different colors and patterned with alternately-colored triangles. On his feet, he wears a pair of leather shoes, seemingly without socks.
And on his head is his trademark cap, which is adorned with a golden button and a golden plate on the left side, emblazoned with the image of a hand. It’s torn at the back, which makes it seemingly merge with his hair when worn.

His outfit in his appearances on parts 4 and 5 are basically the same, but in all white. His belt then matches his gold accessories, being also in golden colors. There are variations with each appearance, like a golden heart accessory clipped onto his right collar, as well as whatever is pinned on his cap.
Stone Ocean Outfit
This outfit is a lot more distinct and a lot less like a school uniform compared to his previous outfits. It features a dark purple overcoat with lines ringing the top and the base of his collar, which then joins to run the length of the coat’s opening.
His collar has two star pins, with one of them on the inside, as well as a small chain on the left. There are two zips between the chest and stomach, and gold stars on each collar. The sides of the shoulders have big stars and a light stripe running that says JOJO repeatedly.
